We had a cookie exchange yesterday. A bunch of us made a couple dozen cookies of one kind. Then we traded, until everyone had an assortment. It was very fun. I learned a couple of things though:
1. 6 dozen is not too many for the whole holiday season. I got cold feet and dropped the amount traded down to 1/2 dozen... turns out that a full dozen swap would have been fine as well.
2. Only invite the most reliable people you know to participate. Especially, choose those who are self motivated.
Some folks made candy instead of cookies. This is awesome. I wish I would have had the forethought to predict this. I would have increased the number of participants and encouraged more to do so. It really makes for a fabulous platter.
